Terms of Service
Effective 12 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the International Muslim Marriage Agency (“IMMA”, “we”, “us”) website and matchmaking service. By submitting an application you agree to them. Please read section 6 and section 10 carefully — they set out what we do not do, and the limits of our responsibility.
1. What IMMA is
IMMA is a human-guided introduction service. We review applications, look for compatibility, and suggest introductions between people who are seeking marriage.
IMMA is not a dating platform, a messaging app, a background-check service, or a guarantor of anyone's character, honesty, or intentions. We introduce people. What happens after that is between them.
2. Who can apply
You may apply if you are at least 18 years old, are legally free to marry, are applying on your own behalf or with the informed agreement of the person you represent, and are sincerely seeking marriage.
3. Applications and fees
Submitting an application is free. There is no obligation, no upfront payment, and no automatic charge. If you are accepted and any optional service fee applies, we will tell you what it is, in writing and in advance, and you may decline.
4. Honesty
You must give us information that is true, accurate and complete. Applications containing false or materially misleading information may be rejected or withdrawn at any stage, including after an introduction has been made. Misrepresenting yourself to another applicant is the most serious thing you can do on this service, and we treat it accordingly.
5. Introductions are not guaranteed
We do not promise that we will find you a match, that any introduction will lead anywhere, or that a match will occur within any particular time. Acceptance of an application is not a promise of an outcome.
6. Verification and your own judgement
We review what applicants tell us for consistency and plausibility. We do not conduct criminal record checks, immigration checks, financial checks, medical checks, or identity verification against official documents, unless we tell you in writing that we have done so in a specific case.
This matters. Information about another applicant comes from that applicant. Before you commit to anything, make your own enquiries, involve your family or wali, meet in appropriate circumstances, and satisfy yourself independently. Do not send money to anyone you have been introduced to, and tell us immediately if you are asked to.
7. Your conduct
You agree to treat other applicants and our team with respect, to keep information shared with you about another applicant private, and not to use the service for anything other than seeking marriage. Harassment, deception, pressure, solicitation, and the sharing of another applicant's details without their agreement are all grounds for immediate removal.
8. Our discretion
We may decline any application, end any participation, or decline to make any particular introduction, at our discretion and without being required to give a reason. We will not do so arbitrarily, but we do not owe anyone an explanation of a matchmaking judgement.
9. The website
The content, branding and design of this website belong to IMMA. We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limits of our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not responsible for the conduct, statements, honesty, or suitability of any applicant we introduce you to, whether that conduct occurs during the introduction or afterwards.
- We are not responsible for the outcome of any introduction, engagement, or marriage.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of opportunity or reputation.
- Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the total fees you have actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars, whichever is greater.
We are not liable for any failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.
11. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because you gave us false information, or because of how you behaved towards another applicant, you agree to cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.
12. Ending your participation
You may withdraw at any time by writing to services@internationalmuslimmarriageagency.com. We may end your participation as set out in section 8. Sections 10, 11 and 14 survive.
13. Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, and the courts of Maryland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another country, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change, and continued participation after that date means you accept the updated terms.
